SUSTAINABILITY

Fast fashion creates vast amounts of waste, approximately 92 million tonnes of landfill each year. The industry is responsible for about 10% of global carbon emissions – which is even more than all  international flights and overseas shipping combined! It’s also the second largest water consumer of any industry.

Clothes that are designed rapidly, made out of cheap materials, assembled by underpaid labour and shipped out for customers to use for a short time before discarding to landfill is not anyone any good - except for the companies that make them.

So what can we do about it?

Too many companies talk the talk when it comes to sustainability, without providing attractive, affordable options for customers who want to be both fashionable and environmentally-conscious.

Giving high-quality clothing a second chance is a way to reduce our individual carbon footprint, and that of the fashion industry as a whole. It benefits the planet, saves us money, and means that we can have amazing, unique items in our wardrobe that we can love forever and wear time and time again.
